PAN OSTON SHOWCASES WORK BY ARTISTS WITH DISABILITIES

A special art exhibition has recently been unveiled at Pan Oston. Various areas of the company premises, including the reception area, showroom, meeting rooms, and canteen, are home to artworks created by participants from Atelier Aventurijn, a day activity centre run by Zozijn for people with disabilities.

Atelier Aventurijn, based in Raalte, offers a creative workspace where individuals with disabilities can develop their talents. Participants work with a wide range of materials such as ceramics, paint, papier-mâché, and mosaic. Each piece is unique and reflects the personal expression of its creator.

‘At Aventurijn, it’s all about discovering and developing each person’s individual style,' says Alie de Haan, one of the studio’s supervisors. ‘The participants gain great satisfaction from the creative process and are incredibly proud of the results.’

The collaboration with Pan Oston arose from a shared desire to make social engagement tangible. ‘As a local company, we believe it’s important to connect with the community, ’ says Ralf Hovenga, CEO at Pan Oston. ‘The artworks from Aventurijn are not only beautiful to look at, but they also tell a story. By giving them a place in our building, we want to show our appreciation for these artists and their work.’

The artworks are displayed throughout the building, adding a colourful and inspiring touch to the working environment. Employees and visitors of Pan Oston can enjoy the pieces on a daily basis. Many of the works are also for sale.

For the participants of Aventurijn, this exhibition means a great deal. ‘It’s a recognition of their talent and dedication’, says the supervisor. ‘Having their work displayed at a renowned company like Pan Oston gives them a sense of pride and appreciation.’

Aventurijn is part of Zozijn and offers creative daytime activities for people with disabilities. In a safe and stimulating environment, participants are given the space to discover and develop their talents.
