On Tuesday 12 November, we had a visit from a group of curious students from Carmel College Salland in Raalte at Pan Oston. Together with Carmel College Salland, the Kring Raalter Werkgevers, of which Pan Oston is a member, organises an annual company visit day for second-year VMBO students.
The aim is to help students choose their studies and careers for the future by introducing them to the activities of various companies in the region during the company visit day. Students select three companies from different sectors to visit. During the visits, they not only get an idea of the business activities but also of the various professions practised within the companies. The experiences the students gain during the visit help them make informed study and career choices.
During the guided tour at Pan Oston, the students were given an interesting behind-the-scenes look at the company through a series of questions they had to solve. This not only allowed them to learn about the Pan Oston company and the products we make but also gave them an insight into the different production processes, the technology and the craftsmanship that ensures that we can turn raw materials into a beautiful final product.
At Pan Oston, we believe it is important to encourage young talent and inspire them to pursue a career in engineering. The company visit days organised by the Kring Raalter Werkgevers provide an excellent opportunity for this, and we warmly support this initiative.
