Merge checkout and SCO into the ultimate checkout furniture

The SLIM Merge is a new concept that combines the traditional belted checkout and self-checkout (SCO) to create the ultimate checkout system. The supply belt consists of two conveyors in a 90-degree orientation. The extra space created by the two-part supply conveyor is used to integrate the SCOs. The checkout clerk can operate both checkouts without any problems. The design of the SLIM Merge not only makes it an attractive checkout point but also an efficient and space-saving solution. The design also pays attention to ergonomics for the checkout assistant. For this purpose, a special arrangement with a 3rd belt was invented, which brings the products close to the checkout and the checkout assistant. While designing the checkout, attention was also paid to an open construction and a large screen at the traditional checkout. This allows the cashier to overlook all the cash registers from her own.
